Style
In using Project Based
Learning, as a teacher who chooses to use it in the classroom, the teacher
could be the leader or the manager. As the leader, the main job is facilitating
the students. For example, the teacher provides the tools needed, time for
consultation, and also the big picture of what will be discussed in the
classroom. Meanwhile, as the manager, the main job is more in handling and
controlling the students; it is like how far the students’ progress. The
teacher likes to supervise his students and guide them to reach the goal of the
lesson.
However, a great
teacher is someone who can maintain both roles when using the Project Based
Learning. So, the teacher is not only well-developed towards his/her Project
Based Learning, but also controlling the process of his/her design.
